The mechanism of pristine steel slag for boosted performance of fly ash-based geopolymers

چکیده
The high autogenous shrinkage of geopolymers hampers their application as building materials. In this study, pristine steel slag was used an expansion material to mitigate in geopolymers. influence on the chemical deformation alkali-activated fly ash-based is investigated. microstructure expanded system studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), FTIR measurement, thermogravimetric measurement (TGA), scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive (SEM/EDS) and mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP). Finally, mechanisms were elucidated. experimental results show that geopolymer eliminated addition slag. Fly ash replaced 0, 5, 10, 15% slag, rate ranged from −0.29% 20.24%. Increased content reduced bulk density geopolymer. incorporation not only provided calcium for information C-A-S-H but also filled pores.
